-Hot Chocolate Bomb Kit-

Makes about 5-6 bombs total
(instructions make 2 at a time)

Time: 30 to 50 minutes (for making 2)
Up to two people can follow along with the instructions

What's In The Box

2 Hot Chocolate Bomb Molds

11 oz Milk Chocolate

2.6 oz Jakob's Hot Chocolate Mix

0.50 oz Mini Marshmallows w/Jakob's Hot Chocolate Mix

0.10 oz Chopped Milk Chocolate

What You Will Need

4 Bowls (1 Must Be Microwavable)

1 Food Grade Thermometer

1 Spoon

1 Friend :)

Step 1.

Place all your ingredients into separate bowls.

Step 2.

Place your chocolate bowl into the microwave for 20-second increments until it looks like this.

Step 3.

Let your bowl of chocolate sit until it reaches 85°F.

Step 4.

Combine the chopped chocolate and the melted chocolate. Mix for one minute.

 

If you have made the bombs before and now have no pre-chopped pieces, you should chop some. If you forget it is okay.

Step 5.

Fill your two molds up with chocolate.

Tap lightly on the table to remove air bubbles.

Step 6.

Pour the excess chocolate back into the bowl.

Step 7.

Place the two molds into the fridge for a few minutes, so the chocolate gets firm.

Step 8.

Remove the molds from the fridge.

Step 9.

For the second (and final time) fill your two molds up with chocolate.

Tap lightly on the table to remove air bubbles.

Step 10.

Pour the excess chocolate back into the bowl.

Place the two molds back into the fridge until they are completely hardened.

Step 12.

Carefully! Remove the chocolate shells from the molds.

Step 13.

Place marshmallows in two of the chocolate shells.

Step 14.

Put the empty shell on top of the one filled with marshmallows.

Step 15.

Rub melted chocolate on the seam so that it is completely covered.

Step 16.

Let the bombs sit until the chocolate has dried.

Step 17.

Once hardened, rub a small amount of chocolate onto the bomb and place it into the hot chocolate mix.

Step 18.

Roll the bomb in the hot chocolate mix.

Make sure to save all your leftover chocolate, as it can make another 2-4 bombs!

 

Don't know how to save your melted chocolate?

-Scrape the chocolate into a Ziploc bag so you can peel it out and melt it down next time you make your bombs.
